Mr Brainwash launches new street art show in London.
The work of street artist Mr Brainwash, real name Thierry Guetta, is the subject of a new exhibition at London’s Opera Gallery. The French-born artist came to prominence after being featured in Banksy’s Oscar-nominated documentary Exit Through The Gift Shop.
Los Angeles-based Guetta has collaborated closely with Banksy, leading to some speculation that he is a cover for the notoriously enigmatic street artist. Initially the subject matter of Exit Through The Gift Shop, the self-protective Banksy eventually turned the camera on amateur film-maker Guetta.
The Opera Gallery London has a collection of contemporary and modern painting and sculpture, displaying a permanent collection of the most renowned international artists, and special exhibitions every two months.
